I will never forget the mother to daughter conversations me and my grandma had (I was raised by my grandma) and I hope that the things me and my daughter talk about will stick with her as well. When me and my grandma had our little conversation about a girls monthly best friend, she had timed it almost perfectly and to this day I still think she jinxed me hahaha, we were sitting in the living room together one night and she started talking about it and not even a week later, it happened!! I was only 9 years old, so don't think that talking to your daughter about it at 7,8 or 9 years old is too early because you really never know. I'm really happy that I had had the conversation before it happened because if I didn't, I think I would have been really scared and unprepared.
I found a site the other day with 9 topics that a mother should discuss with her daughter and I think all moms or even dads should take a look at it, it might give you some ideas or tips even on how to talk to your little girls. Sometimes it is hard to bring things like this up for some parents but having an idea of what to talk about and how to come about it may help!!
